At Comic-Con New York, we unveiled the world’s first voice-activated escape room for Amazon Echo. Partnering with AKQA Portland, we integrated Alexa as a key team member, guiding participants through five interconnected rooms filled with challenges—from a tricky laser maze to a high-stakes interrogation. This innovative blend of physical puzzles, cutting-edge AI, and smart home tech not only captivated thousands but also culminated in a live Twitch broadcast featuring top eSports personalities. Built in just 3 days during a 2-month production cycle, the experience leveraged 8 Echo devices, 67 Echo Skills, and 64 IoT integrations, bridging the gap between the digital and physical worlds.
